THE RECORD
32678 is the Air Force Specialty Code Dave Hammonds carried as an F‑16 avionics specialist from 1982 to 1991. Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. Hahn Air Base in West Germany, since deactivated. Temporary duty at Zaragoza in Spain and Incirlik in Turkey. Nine years and nine months on the line.
Today it’s a brand mark stamped into a brass tag on goods built by hand from materials that served before this work began — waxed canvas, friendly-force marker panels, Cold War Talon brass zippers. The first run is a field dopp kit, built one at a time. When the materials are gone, the run ends.
Mail goes out rarely. When it does, it is because something specific is ready.
